ABSTRACTS & AWARDS

The following awards apply to poster submissions for the ANXSIG annual poster exposition at the ABCT convention. To be considered for an award, you must meet the requirements below, as well as indicate your interest in the award when sending in your abstract. Deadline for all submissions is July 15, 2009.

Abstracts

• One page or less;
• Includes all author names & affiliations;
• Includes contact info for first author;
• Send in .doc format

Student Awards (2)

• $250 cash prize
• ABCT and ANXSIG members only
• Student must be first author
• Student has not completed doctoral training
• Send abstract

Early Career Award (1)

• $500 cash prize
• ABCT and ANXSIG members only
• Must have completed training (e.g. psychology doctorate, psychiatry residency) in last 5 years
• Send abstract, and also include:
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Brief (no more than 2 pages) statement of professional contributions in the area of anxiety disorders;
  • Two letters of reference

CONFERENCE INFORMATION

The ABCT Conference 2009 will run from November 19 - 22 in New York City. Due to space constraints, this year’s SIG Exposition will feature your submission in clear acrylic boards. The overall size of your submission should be no larger than 8 ½ ” x 11” sheets. The front display should feature your submission title. The back display should indicate up to four talking points to encourage discussion. The maximum number of acrylic boards per SIG may not exceed 12. This display will enable the submission to be picked up and easily read by exposition attendees.
